The challenge
Mastone needed a digital tool for the new WWS points system. They worked with spreadsheets, couldn't share professional brochures with investors, and lacked oversight of their portfolio. They needed a full-fledged platform with an admin side and an investor portal, including complex calculations with more than 100 conditions.
The analysis
The new WWS points system contains over 100 conditions that together determine which category a property falls into. This makes manual calculation via spreadsheets error-prone and time-consuming.
We mapped the complete calculation logic: from area calculations and energy labels to location factors and WOZ values. Each condition has specific weighting factors and exceptions.
Beyond the calculations, we analyzed the work process: how brochures were shared (manually via email), how investors gained access (no portal), and where oversight was lacking (scattered Excel files).
The conclusion was clear: Mastone needed not just a calculation tool, but a complete platform with user management, brochure generation, and an investor portal.
